Is Zilch a credit card or a debit card?

Zilch acts like a credit or debit card.

Updated over a week ago

Zilch is a virtual card that works like a debit card or a credit card, depending on how you want to pay. You can Pay over 6 weeks or Pay over 3 months (if you're eligible) or Pay now and get up to 5% of your purchase back in Zilch Rewards.

How Zilch works like a credit card

Make a purchase today, and pay for it over four instalments when you use Zilch like a credit card. When you sign up to Zilch, we'll give you a credit limit – this is how much you can spend when you Pay over 6 weeks or Pay over 3 months – so you can pay flexibly at thousands of stores. (Just remember to enable your card first for lower or zero fees!)

How Zilch works like a debit card

Make a Pay now purchase and you'll pay 100% of the purchase price at checkout – we'll collect the amount straight away from your linked debit card, but with Zilch, you get rewarded. Zilch Rewards give you up to 5% of your purchase price back. Add Rewards to a future purchase for money off – make sure to enable your card before every Pay now purchase for the highest Reward offers.
