How do I pay off my Zilch balance?

From how payments are taken to how to pay early, here’s what you need to know about making payments with Zilch

Updated over a week ago

Making repayments with Zilch is easy as 1, 2, 3. When you sign up, we’ll ask you to link your debit card – we take payments directly from this account when your Pay over 6 weeks instalments are due. We'll also use this card to process your Pay now transactions.

How Pay now works

Love a little extra? Earn while you shop when you choose Pay now. You’ll get up to 5% back in Zilch Rewards when you shop online by searching our app for your chosen store and enabling your card before checkout. Plus, you don’t have to worry about repayments – the entire purchase cost will be taken from your debit card.

How Pay over 6 weeks works

If you’ve chosen to Pay over 6 weeks, the cost of your purchase will be split over six weeks. If your upfront payment is 25%, your payment timeline will look like this...

  • 25% (plus any fees) at checkout

  • 25% two weeks after the transaction date

  • 25% four weeks after the transaction date

  • 25% six weeks after the transaction date

If your upfront payment is 50%, your payment timeline will look like this...

  • 50% (plus any fees) at checkout

  • 16.6% two weeks after the transaction date

  • 16.6% four weeks after the transaction date

  • 16.6% six weeks after the transaction date

Can I repay an instalment early?

If you’d rather get the fuss of repayments out of the way early, head to the Purchases section of the app. You’ll see the Pay now button next to your purchase.

FYI, paying early (or on time) could help to increase your credit limit. Bonus.

Can I delay a repayment?

Need more time to pay? Our Snooze feature lets you delay a repayment by four days. You can only use Snooze once per transaction.
